Design Goal
This project is refreshing the look of the Braun Forehead Thermometer using the existing Braun brand language and engine. It will serve as a traditional "contact" and "no contact" forehead thermometer with new features such as fever insight lighting and silent night mode. With updates to the display size and UI,
the new design will reinforce the premium look and feel of Braun's product.

Angle for the display
“I’d rather have no motion in general. In my mind it’s more accurate.” -Jessica
Main barriers in current thermometer experience is uncertainty and lack of trust in device. Holding the no-touch still over one area was seen as more accurate and safe. Communicative UIs help to establish trust in the device.
13 participants out of 17 performed correcly on the small circular motion
in the middle of the forehead.

Based on findings from current user testing data, a circular tip would better help in the aiming of the thermometer towards the forehead. We've redefined the angle of the display to be 32 degrees by considering the average postures between the users and child.
